TELL YOURS
RÜTM is beginning to find its shape, and now we're handing it over to you.
RÜTM is an independent platform for contemporary culture. Subcultures, scenes, movements, and everything in between. We aim to be curious, critical, and always on the look-out for cultural shifts.
We're looking for people who are passionate about culture, who notice the details of how society functions and reacts to its surroundings and trends. RÜTM is about encouraging curiosity and critical thought, especially within youth culture and the exploration of subcultures.
We also want to offer a curated reflection of today's younger generation and their navigation of the creative industry. Who are the emerging acts? Who are the people behind the scenes? What is going unnoticed? We hope to sit down with young artists, hear their stories and follow their journeys in an uncertain but exciting future.
We accept essays, interviews, reviews and guides, and we're always open to your suggestions. We're currently open to pitches for one-off pieces and recurring series.
One-off pieces should be reported, considered, and come from a real place of knowledge. Music, film, art, design, movement, society and varia.
Recurring series (weekly/monthly/bi-monthly) should have a clear format, whether that means interrogating a different topic each time or going deep on one thing consistently.
What we love most: deep dives on niche topics, profiles of emerging artists or people behind-the-scenes, unconventional approaches to familiar ones, expert eyes on mainstream culture, and emerging unidentified trends.
We're built on collaboration and genuinely excited to platform new voices. We can currently publish and proofread in English, French and Spanish.
For now it's volunteer-based. We're building this from the ground up, and we'd love for you to be part of it from the start.
